DAY . 02
After a refreshing sleep, we had set off to Notre Dame ar 8.30am from the Park Suite Hotel.
Well a little photo shooting before going off from the hotel
Walking in the morning Paris street. The walking pavement is so wide that it is very convenient and safe for pavement users. (There is a lot of falling leaves on the ground but it make you think that the street is dirty :D )
A random restaurant which is still preparing for operation. There is a small balcony on the 2nd floor of the building. (Usually Paris people will have shop lots at the Ground floor of a building while Living Area and apartment on 1st floor onward)
A Romanesque church where we captured the photos from far when we pass by it.
Road sign showing that the direction of the historical district of Church of Saint Severin and Saint Protais.
(Road signs showing the directions of main places for all the road users especially passer-by)
Each tree planted and grew on the walking pavement is fit around with brackets to support tree guards which is named as the Tree Grid designed by Architect Jean-Gabriel Antoine Davioud.
The small island with lots of buildings was where Notre Dame located. The river water was beautiful greenish blue.
The road crossing under the bridge. (The driver can enjoy the pretty scenery while driving)
Walking on the pavement full with maple leaves (Paris now is autumn), I really can feel I am in Europe now. (Because maple leaves is not existed in Malaysia! :P)
The fat fat me with our cute senior Jiesi who is a Hello Kitty fans with the maple leaves!!
Photos with nimble senior Jie Ling, gang jiong (meaning nervous and hurry here hurry there = =''') queen Shook Fun, Jie si and me :D
The traffic of Paris. The amazing part of their traffic light is that one traffic like is full with instructions for car, passer-by, and cyclists, and come together with some road signs! (One post settle all the works, so efficient and save up a lot of space! @@! ) In Europe, there is this very interesting rule which is the car should watch out for the passerby and passerby should watch out for the cyclist. Different lanes were provided for different categories road users. While in Malaysia is all the road users must watch out for your own safety.
Walking towards the Notre Dame.
Licensed stalls on the pavement. A simple design where the owner can store their stocks inside the stalls and the stalls can be fold and close into boxes and kept on site. (saving up space for storeroom and stall storage)
Scenery at the river bank. (Stone pavements for passer-by)
A building which look so ancient and massive.
A closer view of the building
The billboard showing type of pavement users and directory map (simple and easy to understand but not the french words)
People are crossing the road using the zebra-crossing. (beside the zebra crossing there was this crossing line specially for disabled people, ramp on the elevated pavement was specially designed for the wheelchair)
A rider with a horse statue
The pediment with an eagle statue of the building @@
There are so many ornaments, decorations and human statues on the exterior of the building.
A line of female statues along the edge of the roof

Snap a picture of the carvings of the concrete railing detail of a bridge we were crossing to reach the island (the fading paint can tell the age of the bridge and it was actually stick with some spider web)
The River and the island
The two sweet lecturers having photos while waiting for us taking photos on the benches provided (as paris is one of the country that have the walking cultures therefore resting place and seating elements were provided everywhere)
Shadow casted by the bridge railings
A lot of people crossing the bridge.
Along the journey to Notre Dame, we had saw a lot of building's balcony planted with some flower, plants, and cooking ingredients.
The design of the balcony railing is affected by the art nouvelle movement. (To be honest to say before I took these photo I did not realise there was there so call drainage pipe in between one lot with another on the wall! = =!! It look unobstructive with the building colour)
There are souvenirs shops at the ground floor.
Steel gates were used to close some street entering the private housing area
Finally here we are at the Gothic style Notre Dame side entrance after 30 minutes of walking! People were queuing up to wait for their turn to have a tour in the Notre Dame. It was a very long (estimated at least 18 meters) queue.
The first real Rose window I met in Europe! Each detailing (exactly same as the description in our History 02 lecture) Rose window is truly a architecture masterpiece of human creatures. It somehow became the focus point of the main entrance.
The height of the Notre Dame is 96 meters which equal to total height of 53 peoples.
The Notre Dame is detailed up with lots of ornaments like gargoyles, rose window, stained glass window, statues, and supports like flying buttresses which make the Notre Dame look so grave and complicated.
The stained glass window (unfortunately the stained glass image cannot be seen from the exterior
The gargoyles used to divide the flow of rainwater off the roof and to minimize the potentil damage from a rainstorm in architecture purpose, and as a guard statue to scare off the devils.
The information board of Notre Dame tour map, people are allowed to enter the front part of the Notre Dame only.
The facade of the Notre Dame (Three main entrances with stone carvings, rose window at the middle, saint statues)
Alright its photo shooting and selfie time again :P

There is pigeons everywhere! (The pigeon there very fat, when we look closer the pigeon was actually shaking due to the coldness)
Next destination Love Lock Bridge of Paris :DD (Guess my friends who have a partner must be very excited now :P)
Pass by a weird outlook building......This historical building was actually under restoration so they printed out the real outlook of the building as the packing of the current outlook so anyone visited Paris will not miss the pretty outlook of the building and another purpose is to make construction work look nice to the city view.
The use of portable temporary fence to separate the private parking and public parking (all the car will park nicely at the roadside to allow smooth traffic flow)
The construction work brackets is so neat & in order which did not affect the facade view
A Romanesque building which the use of Composite columns is function as decoration for the facade.
Another restaurant which is not operated in the morning & the four different types of motorbikes parked in front of the restaurant.
The Love Lock Bridge is around 15 minutes walking distance from the Notre Dame.
Here we are at the Love Lock Bridge! There is so many padlock at the bridge! @@ Haha one of the romantic spot of Paris xDD

While they were taking the selfie.....
Me and Vivian saw this statue and I was requested to take a special photo......but I better kept the photo as our secret :P
The famous inverted pyramid inside Du Lourve (it was so cool as the inverted is only attached to the ceiling and did not fall down @@ show full both the engineer and architecture who designed this inverted pyramid!)
Ms Sharmila guide us to the food court of Du Lourve and we must settle our lunch in order to save our time. Me and vivian went to have McDonald as our lunch as all the other food selling in Du Lourve is double the price of McDonald set meal D': (Mcd is around 6.50 euro to 8 euro per set while the other food is 16 euro per meal) After the lunch, we depart to the modern art museum, the Pompidou at around 3.00 pm :)
