MINOR : EXPERIENCING CULTURE 10 Days EUROPE Trip !! (Part 01)

 DAY . 01

Thursday 11th September 2014, I have wake up 7.30 am early in the morning to fetch my sister & her friends to a printing shop nearby her house at Wangsa Maju, Setapak. After having a breakfast,a must eat Malaysia food before leaving Malaysia, Roti Canai (I am so sure that I am going to miss Malaysia food hahaha) at Mamak, we went for the printing at around 9.00 am. Well, I actually spend 4 hours at the printing shop........ Then rushing back to Cheras to pack everything & fetch my friends Vivian and Illin to Kuala Lumpur International Airport! :D

Here we are the KLIA!!! Well too excited and anxious that I might miss the airplane (< this girl actually never take a flight before so she is do not know she can reach a little bit later......) Since we have reached the airport earlier than expected time so we have our lunch at KFC before we depart at around 7.00pm. (Dinner will be provided on the airplane! :D)

The support column of KLIA

The opening on the membrane roof which allow natural lighting during daytime

It's time to check-in the luggage!! xDD We check in the luggage sem by sem starting with higher sem to my sem, sem 3 :)) I only bring one backpack luggage which only weighting about 9kg only & we have been given a baggage reclaim ticket in case the luggage is not found at the destination airport.

Flight tickets checked & it is time to take a ride (train) to enter the boarding area!! (Actually I do not know why we have to separate the boarding zone so far away from the lobby @@)

Here we are the special area for people to shopping & dining before boarding the airplane. (The airplane we have booked is Emirate Airplane)

I actually get separated with my friends so I go and wait in front of the boarding gate C24 first so they can meet me here later. :) There are so many people already waited here. Few minutes later all the trip member start to gather around the boarding gate & get boarding onto the airplane.

The first sight of the interior of Emirates airplane has amazed me. (Maybe because i never ride any flight before?!) I never know Emirate airplane is equiped with TV screen and the environment is so comfortable.
(Small pillow and blanket is provided) (Watching Disney Dumbo Cartoon Movie xDD) (My sister's baby, Hazai who wan to write a journal of Hazai journey = =''''' hahaha so I bring Hazai along with me throughout the whole europe trip :PPP)

The food served on the airplane, breakfast with orange juice (& cutie Hazai) and the Dinner set which including the appetizer which is the fruits and the main dish (scramble egg or omelette) come with a bread and plain biscuits with butter, milk cream and strawberry jam, and a small packet of natural spring water. The food is so delicious!!

After a 5 hours flight, finally we reached and landed at Dubai Airport, but the next flight to Paris is 3 hours after the landing. :)

Welcome to Dubai Airport!!! xDD (To be honest to say, the interior of the Dubai airport is not as grand as I imagined and saw online before)

We found the resting area and they actually provided a lot of lounge chairs for people to rest & take a nap while waiting for boarding. So I am so lucky to found one unoccupied lounge chair & started Hazai Photo session, then I had have a two hours nap before departure...////// *shy

(But somehow the lounge chairs resting place is still quite open and public space as the moving belt is just nearby meaning people will keep walking through here, maybe we should be provided with some privacy for our break? o.O)

The interior design of the Dubai Airport
(Left picture is the view of looking up from lower floor to the ceiling which provided a vision to the upper floors which is enclosed with transparent glass; right picture is the lighting fixtures fit inside the wall for decorative lighting)

The interesting thing we met in Dubai Airport xD

Yeah~! After a nap, its time to proceed to boarding gate!! But first we need to take a train to the boarding area xD (Hazai sitting at the head of the fast train!!!)

After 7 hours flight, here we are in Paris Custom Passport Control area. *clap clap clap!!!!* So many international travelers waiting to get through the custom @@ I am so nervous as i never see a custom or trying to enter a foreign country before, I have no idea what custom officers will do to confirm my identity.

(Hazai also queue patiently together with our group in the line xDD)
The ladies staffs organizing the line is not that friendly and not much patience hahaha maybe they have to deal with million of people in the custom within one days? :) and English has somehow became the best international language to communicate with Parisian (But try to speak in french before starting the conversation with english as Parisian have a very strong sense in upholding their culture and language)

Officially enter Paris!! :DDDD
(Take a photo of Hazai as a memory of the first time entering a foreign country!)

Finally after the baggage reclaim, its time for us to get ready and set off to the heart of PARIS!!!!!!!!!! (Maybe we have spent a long time queuing up for the identification at the custom results in that all our luggage were ready to be reclaim at the luggage belt or they have the best luggage reclaim service :P)

First destination to go, Paris Eiffel Tower which was once the tallest tower in the world. We went into the paris city from Airport Charle de Gaulle by Roissy Shuttle bus which cost about 4-5 euro if u buy the bus ticket in a group. :DD (It will cost higher price to buy the ticket alone)

The round round airport's street light & a surveillance camera for the security & safety

Bus stands at the airport Charles De Gaulle lourved roof is provided to block sunlight. This bus stand did not provide seating but it has a slanted surface for us to lean against it.

The photos taken along the way entering the Paris city in the bus. (The black spot is actually a bird poop = =..........)

Passing by the Charles de Gaulle Airport signage one a green slope. (Well, black spot everywhere.....= =) Before we came to Europe, I had always think that Europe is full with country that emphasize Green elements, it is still very excited to see the greenness with my own eyes! You cannot believe that trees are everywhere! (from countryside to the city heart!)

There's graffiti art on the boundary wall along the road. (Street graffiti is one kind of art culture in most of the countries in Europe including Paris, to me Graffiti is a kind of art as long as you didnt trying to include some rude and sex elements to the public)

Trying to capture the directions road sign @@
(The road signs is quite similar to Malaysia road sign, blue board with white writings)
Warehouse of branded company likes Zara, Carrefour, Primark, Mark & Spencer and etc.

The highway is full of Plants and trees!!! (Green Environment!! & the sky is so blue all the time!! @@)

Road signs showing the Street names and direction. (The design of the road sign is so different from Malaysia, some arrow also replaced by finger pointing :P hahaha to me the directories on the road side is one of the brilliant thing I found in Paris as there Road signs is permanently fixed to the post, so it is very easy to replace with new Road signs without demolished the post to save a lot of cost!)

The Bicycle lock racks

The classical brick apartment of Paris

Street view (Trees along the walking pavements for shading)

Random skyscapper

Random traffic condition (Waiting for traffic light)

After reaching the city, its almost 12.30 pm already and our Eiffel Tower tour is at 1.00pm. @@ Therefore, all of us carry our heavy luggage and backpacks and start a 'amazing race' to Eiffel Tower. *Rushing time*

The busy metro of Paris (Most of the space of the metro was occupied by us......)

George V station > Bir-Hakeim station
(For more information about Paris Metro we can refer to http://parisbytrain.com/tag/paris-metro/, we actually bought the single journey metro ticket which is so called as the tickets + in a set meaning 10 ticket + at once, the price is 13.70 euro and is cheaper than buying one ticket + only)

BEWARE! On the way rushing to Eiffel Tower, we actually met a professional 'pickpocket' gang and I had unfortunately became their target....=' '=.............They were pretend to be a charity gang (around 8 to 10 peoples) approaching and surrounding me and someone opened up my front bag zip, then my items actually fell out of my bag, but luckily just some tissue I brought from the Emirate Airplane just now.......

Here we are at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower that crowded with tourists. Sem 3 and Sem 4 had to wait at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower to look after the luggage of our seniors and our leader lecturer Ms Sharmila as the luggage we bring along with us is too big and may not be appropriate to bring up to the tower.

So we actually having a fun time taking photos and exploring around the bottom of the tower while taking care of our luggage. :P

The view from the bottom of the Eiffel Tower the structure was so amazing and astonished!!

After 45 minutes, finally it's our turn to go up to the Eiffel tower!! xDD The Eiffel Tower had equip with lift service to carry people.

We enjoyed the view of the whole Paris city from the top of Eiffel Tower!!

The parliament building of Paris (It formed an axis from Eiffel Tower to this building)

The stereoscope, you can put in 50 cents to use the stereoscope. (We did not use it as we do not have any small change of euro yet ><)

Taking a picture of our lecturer, Ms Norji snapping the view of Paris secretly! :P (I revealed the secret by myself......)

A close view of Eiffel Tower structure (Did not actually look straight as it is formed by multiples joints and steel structures)

Sem 3 and Sem 4 group photo on top of Eiffel Tower!!

The Eiffel Towers (about 8 to 12 euro) selling in the souvenir shops :) (Well, there is vendors selling souvenirs at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower with much cheaper price so......be smart in making your decision on which souvenir to buy)

After getting down from the Eiffel Tower, we have a walking distance of 5 minutes to snap photos of the whole view of the Massive Eiffel Tower. (The area we standing is actually a park, picnic were picnic at the grassland besides the trees)

The handsome Hazai with the Eiffel Tower!! (Credit to Hakim who helped me to hold Hazai :P)

Me and Eiffel Tower :))

Romance at the Eiffel Tower xD

Trees along the park walkway casting a romantic shadow on the ground at the cozy evening

Suddenly a Carriage stopped in front of us!! @@ The horse's eyes were covered so it would not felt scary or nervous when if it saw a car and peoples. (The trainer must have gained its' 100% trust :D)

The trainer/the rider was talking and communicating with her horse

Class photo!! >w<

Class photo together with our head lecturer!!

Group photo~!!!! ^v^Y

We left Eiffel Tower at about 5.00 pm and then we walked back to the Bir-Hakeim station.

Some random building found when walking towards the station @@

When we arrived at a Cross junction, Ms Sharmila decided to let us had the dinner around this area. Ms Norji and my classmata Nana waiting for Ms Sharmila to found a Halal restaurant.

Europe people love to drink Spakling water (Mineral water + gas)

The pork burger and chips (16 euro) that I have ordered. To be honest to say, the meat is too dry and the chip is not crispy so the taste is just moderate. :)

This is Salmon fish and White rice (16 euro) ordered by my friend.

Free French toast given by the restaurant. :DD

After finishing the bread, we had took the metro at Bir-Hakeim station to Villejuif-Leo Lagrange with making a transit at Place d'Italie

It was around 8.00 pm when we arrived at the hotel we booked, The Park Suite Hotel. (This photo was taken on the next morning so it look so bright ><) A simple design entrance with a overhang to block rainwater from reaching the customers waiting in front of the entrance or entering the hotel.

Hansome Hazai lying lazily on the soft pillow while waiting for me to arrange my stuff.

The night falls, Hazai was trying to climb up the frame of the opened window to enjoy the romantic Paris night view (There were three windows can be opened for natural ventilation and served as a natural air-cond as the temperature outside is around 20 degree celsius, energy saving :D )

Sitting quietly on the window frame and looking at the beautiful night sky...... (Wondering did Hazai miss my sister? :P)

The services were exposed on the rooftop of the supermarket beside the Park Suite Hotel (The piping was arranged nicely and I do not think there is any problem for people to walk on the rooftop)

After few hours of setting down myself and having bath to clean myself up, I started to feel sleepy and decide to sleep earlier than my roommates as tomorrow we have to wake up early in the morning and gather at 8.00 am at the hotel lobby. Secretly took a picture of my friend lying sloppy on the bed surfing internet, I hopes she would not realize this photo :P Good night guys and have a sweet dream!! :)))
