MINOR : EXPERIENCING CULTURE 10 Days EUROPE Trip !! (Part 05)

DAY . 05

Today is the day we leaving Paris for London!!! :PP We have done packing our luggage the day before we leaving.

From Gare du Nord, Paris to St. Pancras International, London

Gare du Nord train station is so huge and this is the first time I came to a real central train station @@

We have to go through the custom before boarding the train (Passport control between Paris and London)

We were taking the Eurostar train to London!! (This is the coach 14)

The big luggage need to be put in the luggage rack at the front or the back of a coach and smaller size baggage can be put on the of the seat :)

The whole journey took about 2-3 hours and I have a 2 hours nap on the train until Farhana wake me up ><

Opening for natural lighting and seating elements is provided for people to sit and wait for their departure (Its been a very busy day at St. Pancras International :) )

Stepping out the underground station and breathe in the fresh air, I am shouting out loud inside my heart "Hello!! London!!!!" xDD

The Generator Hostel, a hostel specially designed for backpacker to stay around in London! :DD

We were waiting at the dining area while Ms Sharmila is checking into the hostel

In order for us to experience more. Ms Sharmila has decided to mix up the Senior and the Junior so we can get to know each other much better :))

I get room no 235 and is same room with Farhana, Zaza and Emma xDD

The hostel provided double decker bed, we play scissors, paper, stone to decided who will take the bottom part of the bed. Well, the results is Junior is bullying our dear seniors..Haha

The gentleman in the photo is a nice guy that trying to give us a pillow silently (he just put down the pillow he is hugging and pushed it a little bit by a little bit towards us = =.......hahaha) when we notice that we can actually lying down on a pillow

Ms Sharmila brief us that as we are only allowed to enter the theater after 45 minutes so we can have a walk around the Covent Garden market. (Just look around, no stopping)

We have stopped by a western food shop to have our dinner. The uncle selling the food is so friendly and keep providing us with different as he knew that foreigner especially Malaysian love chili sauce that ketchup.

Hazai with the fish and chips together with a drink that I share with Farhana. :) (One set of fish and chips = 8.00 euro)

It's 7.00 pm so we enter the Lyceum theater & wait for the show to start at 7.30 pm.

The lighting in the theater which give out the warm & soft light that create a very cozy and comfortable ambience/environment

Shhhh....The Lion king musical has started, so turn off your hand phone and pay attention to the show....

The Lion King musical is truly a masterpiece of musical art performance!! @@
The background used, the costume, the music and the lighting effect, all of the elements is indispensable which make this musical so unique.

MINOR : EXPERIENCING CULTURE 10 Days EUROPE Trip !! (Part 03)

DAY . 03

Today Sem 3 which mean me and my classmate will be leading the whole group to Villa Savoye. Our dear Shookfun is the leader for our tour guide team xDD

When we reached Poissy we have missed our first bus no.50 to Villa Savoye.

Luckily the next bus came quite earlier as its the open house day for Villa Savoye. The bus driver is so friendly, he even came down the down to ensure we know that his bus is going to Villa Savoye now so we wont miss it.

Villa Savoye designed by Le Corbusier is famous with the Five Points of Architecture :

(1) Open Facade

(2) Open Plan

(3) Pilotis

(4) Roof Garden

(5) Ribbon Windows

This is the Living Room of Villa Savoye which all the furniture is specially designed only for the Villa Savoye. The silver structure on top is the modern chandelier using the top light. Surrounding the Living Room is the ribbon window which allowed the people inside to have a open view to the green exterior which make them feel like having a holiday at the outskirt of town.

Villa Savoye is designed with both staircase and ramp from ground level to the first floor (The ramp somehow make the first floor look suspended and floating)

Ms Sharmila is going to take the Disneyland Tickets we have bought from a international entertainment retail chain called Fnac so a small group of us following Ms Sharmila, along the journey we found an iconic Art Nouveau Hotel.

Well, when we found the Fnac, it is under renovation so Ms Sharmila has told us that she would go and find another Fnac later in Avenue de Champs. Avenue de Champs is the fashion street of Paris, we have saw the first LV store at the avenue. @@ We have some window shopping here and then Ms Sharmila and Sem 3 planning to buy sourvenir at Rue de Rivoli area and then have the Rose Ice-cream in front of the Pompidou.

After few hours shopping for souvenirs, we depart to the Pompidou again for the ice-cream (Eating ice-cream in Paris with the cold weather :P)

Well the ice-cream is 70% not look like a rose......= =''' but the taste is good :) (one medium ice-cream cone = 3.50 euro)

My sampat friend Illin who asked the ladies to do a rose with all the ice-cream flavour! hahaha xDD This Rose ice-cream have the best outlook >w^b

After eating ice-cream, its public toilet time :P

The toilet is equipped with auto cleaning program, the light is to indicate the condition of the public toilet.

Then we have went to the Eiffel Tower to meet our seniors there and to enjoy the romantic night view of Eiffel Tower :D

Buying the Eiffel Tower souvenirs from the vendor (Ms Sharmila and Sherilyn has tried hard to get the offer from the vendor = =''') at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower make the ending of our exploring journey at Paris on the third day :))
