QUICK SKETCH/ RAPID SKETCH

Media : Pen /Calligraphy Pen / Grey Marker(Cool mix with Warm)/A3 Cartridge Paper

Wantan mee is my favourite food! It is one of the chinese traditional food. First, you need o prepare the ingredient needed, then i make it into right & bottom which introduce the way to prepare watan & handmade noodles respectively. At the end, i draw the wantan noodles as the biggest thumbnail to show that it was the focus point in this rapid sketch. Comment from our lecturer : Nice sketches but the number of words can be more simplify (one word likes 'cut' 'season' is enough instead of cutting the meat, seasoning the meat :D)

COMMUNICATION & VISUALIZATION.02

FIRST ASSIGNMENT

Quick Sketch/ Rapid Sketch to deliver your understanding on 'Design Studio 03 Project 01'

Draw a quick sketch to introduce Design Studio 3 First Project (design theme, animal chosen, research, analysis, etc.)

QUICK SKETCH/ RAPID SKETCH

Media : Pen/ Caligraphy Pen/ Grey Marker (Cool mix with Warm) /Cartridge Paper (A2)

Well actually there is a misunderstanding in this first assignment... Ms Norji intention is to ask us to introduce our animal in design project but I had draw the quick sketch to brief on general information of design project. D: (but at least i did visualize something!:D) Comment received from our lecturer is the sketches is good but reader cannot catch the most important point (or so call the hierachy) in the sketch :) Overall composition no problem perhaps I can try to research or explore on more ways in organizing the flow of the quick sketch.

Trying to finish this skill test with quick comic like drawing! Ms Norji (our lecturer for communication & visualization xD)  has gave some comments on our quick sketches, & with examples, she taught us what is meant by quick sketch--to introduce 'something' with some simple understanding images/ thumbnails & minimum text. Well, i did achieve these two criterias, but maybe i can separate my information into different small thumbnails!:D She will taught us into further details of what is quick sketch in our next lecture. Looking forward to next class!

DESIGN Y1S2 - PROJECT.01 AVANT-GARDE ARCHITECT - LEBBEUS WOODS

PROJECT 01 - LEBBEUS WOOD (PROGRESS)

MIND MAPPING

Produce a mind mapping with your own style & try to visually outline information.
In this mind mapping, i tried to put the main keyword on the top left
(which is usually being put at the center) of the butter paper and making triangular boxes to radiate major/minor categories from the top left keyword.

________________________________________________________________________

Shapes with sharp edges like Triangles can always be seen in Lebbeus Woods design. From there i developed an idea to draw my mind map in this way. :))

The Keywords listed are 1. Robotic    2. Machine-like    3. Futuristic    4. Parasitism

I draw some simple & diagrammatic sketches to deliver the information visually & some real material was paste on the mind mapping to give a real textures feeling to the viewer.

The final outcome of PROJECT 01 MIND MAPPING

________________________________________________________________________

Mind mapping is always one of the best way to write & sketch down your idea and classify your points for research and ideation. Will try more style of mind mapping in future.  Actually I quite like the final outcome of the mind mapping, haha! xD it somehow achieve the feeling I wanted to bring out. :))
